8mm Asha Asscher
I couldn't resist. It was too good of a deal to pass up.

8mm Asha Asscher
I think it's an H color, but an older version.

I like the size, but I really can't see this as a solitaire. It really does need side stones (traps or smaller asschers) or a halo of some sort.

I'm either getting side step cut traps in an LM 3-stone, but I'm open to other options. Was looking at possibly doing a tiffany legacy style with a RG halo?? What do you think?

RE: 8mm Asha Asscher
is LM setting it for you? If so, I would do a classic LM ring.

I don't have the cash to set it yet especially if I'm going with LM, but it was an unexpected purchase so I'm open to ideas.

Here are a few I've looked at:

Traps! But of course I'm biased. I looove step cuts with step cuts and the tapering flow that traps provide compared to side Asschers or emerald cuts.

You've probably seen me post this before, but this is my step cut dream:

And my other favorite is Turks' ring, which you've also heard me say along the line. I'm repetitive, yes, but at least I'm consistent. Smile

Bwahaha!

I swear to Pete, I'm gonna have one of these made some day with a AG. I've fawned over this photo for two years now. When I finally do it, you will be able to bow before me and kiss Her Majesty's ring!!

Hadley that ring is gorgeous! I remember talking to Wink about Asha stones and he told me that the Asscher is the most diamond like of all the cuts (in his opinion).

What about this one?

It's more simple, but I'm really responding to the graduated effect and the millegrain details.
