Anyone familiar with this setting?
I saw it on an ebay listing; has an oval & half moons in it. I suspect it might be a stock setting but not certain. But I like it ... it's really pretty.

Sparkly eye candy found at thefacetlounge.com!

RE: Anyone familiar with this setting?
It has a lab emerald (same size as my garnet) in the center. You know where I am going with this. Hide they have an identical one with a lab ruby, also same size, but a couple $ less.

I just really don't know if I want to spend a lot on this piece. This ring is really pretty, priced really well, has the half moons in lab sapphires (if I don't like them, I could always swap them out ... waiting to see what size they are and if they match up with the moissy HMs). Ring is 10K WG.

Undecided

for half moons, what you should look for are white zircon.

@jenncent They do have a good return policy so I will probably order one and see. They have several (with lab ruby & lab emerald center ovals). And great idea on the zircon ... wonder how hard those might be to find in half moons. Confused

well I am sure a jeweler could source them for you. They will give you some good sparkle!

More/better than moissy? Huh I dont have any WZ. I figured if I didn't like the look/sparkle of the lab sapphires in the piece, so long as they match in size, I would just order moissy HMs. They aren't terribly priced.

I did a quick search for white zircon HMs to see how they look, assess sparkle, etc., and found none.

No, not better than moissy, but good, and they will be much whiter.

White zircon is a fantastic idea if you can get it in half moons!
