BTD lab sapphires
What are your thoughts on the BTD lab sapphires, particularly the h&a cut? I have never owned a coloured stone, as they are not usually my thing but as sapphire is my kids birthstone I thought I might make a rhr out of one if I can't find a white moissy that I like.

They seem pretty enough, but I don't know if I should just look for a real, smaller sapphire?

Thoughts.....?

I love my BTD sapphire! It does not look glassy at all. When I sent it in to Joe he asked me it's origin, thinking it was natural, and said it was gorgeous. I also have a BTD ruby, a little glassy for me but beautiful, and an alex, which is stunning. I think the ruby just needs a reset with some diamonds or something.

I've had 2 of the Kashmir diamond cuts <-- not a fan of the diamond cut. It was just weird. Although, it could have been that the loose one I had seemed to have a weird window around the edge because it wasn't set, but the one that was in Jules just had an odd facet pattern.

But the H&A cuts look much much better. I totally want one for a 3-stone... but my "blue" ring plans are years away. I need to pump the brakes a bit.

My BTD sapphire dreams involve a big H&A cushion, and a white JM-inspired setting with some yg accents ...

Sorry for the thread jack!

Unless c grade, they are glassy, imo.

RE: BTD lab sapphires
Thanks - figured that might be the case since they didn't sell well
