Beacon Hill Jewelers on Ruby Lane?
I've been looking at their pieces and had a suspicion that their pieces are reproductions instead of genuine antique pieces so I sent an email and got a rather vague explanation.

http://www.rubylane.com/shop/beaconhilljewelers

I asked about the history of a certain ring and was told that, "As all our pieces come from all over the world we do not have any background information on their history."

I then got straight to the point and asked if the ring was a reproduction or genuine Edwardian and was told, "This is a vintage piece in the Edwardian style. We purchased a collection of rings that are vintage Edwardian style pieces."

Anyone else think this is a roundabout way of trying to make me think a reproduction is legitimately from 1901-1910?

Holy gorgeous! That listing has a legitimate date on it though, something I have yet to find with their engagement ring listings.

To me using the word "style" means reproduction and they should tell you this if you ask them directly.

ETA - when I do searches on ebay I specifically put in the search -style because I do not want repro pieces.

Well this piece actually states that it is from the era.

Based on that, I would assume anything that says "style" and doesn't specifically point out that it is from the era is a repro.

There's broke....and then there is whatever I am...*cry*
