DK drafts...am i nit picking?
So David drew up the first draft of my victor canera replica, but the stone size was wrong (10mm). He then submitted a second drawing with the adjusted stone size, 7.5 mm.

Sparkly eye candy found at thefacetlounge.com!

So i can't quite put my finger on it, but something is lost by the slight reduction of width. It's driving me crazy and I keep telling myself there's no difference but i still see it. Am i seeing things?

The scrolls under the prongs need to be smaller and higher in number. 5 smaller vs 3 larger : )
Also the cathedral shoulder are higher up on the crown in first cad.

I have nothing to contribute, but this ring is going to be amazing! This is one of my all-time favorite settings.

I also think the scrolls on either side under shoulders need to be a bit smaller /delicate. Will be gorgeous!!

Agree with this completely! I much prefer the higher number of scrolls and the higher shoulder in the CAD with the larger stone. I think these tweaks would make them look much more similar.

Also this ring is going to be GORGEOUS! Can't wait to see more progress pics!

I like the lower cathedral shoulders, but I must admit I'm not familiar with the inspiration setting.

Here is the latest draft. I think I like this one better than the last.

Looks great!

I think the high cathedral shoulders work well on bigger stones, and for yours, I think they overwhelm the centre too much.

ETA: if it were mine, I'd want the cathedral tips to end at the little points between the prongs on the sides so they are fully integrated and look more part of the ring as a whole.
