Diamond Setting....

This is pretty! It resembles Cupcake to me with the three sided detail. I feel like tapering the shank with graduated diamonds would be lovely Smile

French cuts would be ideal for me Smile Haha! I have seen tapered/graduated cushions with rounds that looks really great.

On the other hand, bc you have an ACC I'm not sure how it would look with rounds. How do you feel about pretty milgrain detail? I think it would look amazing with your stone.

I love this split shank detail from AsscherGirl on PS, but without the halo. I can only imagine the finger coverage WITH a halo!!!

Yea I've been thinking about going that route too! I've wanted an antique ring like that! I almost did something similar with my spinel. This is going to be hard lol

What about a rosebud style setting? It is very similar to the LM one you posted but with a different basket.

I'm personally not a fan of the SB setting with the EC cut if you use it for anthing but a step cut. I don't think that will translate over very well for an antique cushion. I emailed SB a few times and he agrees it looks off with anything but an asscher or EC. He showed me one with an OEC where they curved the sides and so it had a more dome like quality to it. Totally transformed the ring, not in a bad way but definitely not the same as the EC version.

Do you want a halo, or a solitaire?

I think this type of setting too.

In my opinion a better version of the LM ring (got to love Tiffanys for getting it right the first time!)
