Drusy/rosebud/granulated
Is there something new going on about drusy/rosebud/granulated pearls all of a sudden. I've stocked them for years and suddenly they are flying out all over the world.

Think someone posted a nice strand on PS a few weeks/months (?) ago?

I haven't seen too many of them around here. However, stardust has a really pretty strand.

One day, I'll be a crazy old lady weighed down by all my baubles and it will be glorious.

I was so curious I asked one of my wholesale regulars and she said that they had been popular - she's sold several ropes (Lilia's Treasures on etsy...is it okay to mention her?)

These threads I think:

At least they made me aware of such pearls tho I still don't really care for them.

I'm nuts for them. I have a few strands and one bracelet. I find them to be astonishingly gorgeous.

I have a very large strand that I adore. The pearls are HUGE as far as drusies go and are all AAA. Very uniform in the granulation and the luster is out of this world. I know they're fairly plentiful, but I haven't seen a ton the size and quality I like.

I do like them. With the druzys there is always something different to look at. I think they are very underappreciated. They aren't plentiful at wholesale. I had to really hunt around to get all too few strands last month. The farmers, factories and wholesalers think they are reject quality in the main.
(I found a couple of strands of rather pretty peacock dyed blacks btw)

Reject quality, my buttocks! Crackup

I love drusy pearls! they are super lustrous, plus I am attracted to wacky shapes. The only thing I do not like in some drusys is flat sides.

RE: Drusy/rosebud/granulated
Yup, they have to be rounded. No flats
