Halo-ing My Solitaire
I have always loved halos, and really want to halo my e-ring. I brought it up months ago with my DH, and he wasn't really a fan of me changing my current settings, which is just a basic pave eternity shank four prong ring. I would ideally love to have a double halo with pink and white diamonds! The shank is very delicate, and I'm thinking if I had to do it over again I would go with a plain shank or channel/bezel set side on the shank to project the melee. I want to bring it up again since our 5 year anniversary is coming up thinking he might have a change of heart! I saw an oval solitaire that was recently halo-ed on PS, and it came out amazing.

Have any of you halo-ed a solitaire before or have any examples in your stacks of saved photos?

RE: Halo-ing My Solitaire
You mean, not a reset but a halo built on the existing ring? You can do that?? I want to see - anyone have the PS link?

That came out gorgeous but I think her original setting's shank matched it more than a plain solitaire.
Do you have pictures of your ring now?

JooJoo, once again.. I think you need to start a thread for all your stuff. Your sapphire ring gets me everytime, but all of your pieces are so stunning.

RE: Halo-ing My Solitaire
Yeah. I'm in between doing a whole new thing or keeping the pave and maybe beefing up the shank a little bit! It's platinum so I'm not quite sure if you can just glop on more platinum to existing platinum. I'm thinking NO. Here is a pic of my e-ring right now I wear with two pave 'guard' rings. The picture is only with one band below as I'm always switching it up!

Sparkly eye candy found at thefacetlounge.com!
