Romantic yellow gold or crisp clean white gold?
Hi lovely ladies,

Consulting with you all is so helpful when I get stuck in one of my "what do I do?" loops when thinking about my new projects.

I have finally decided to go with a 5 stone ring design for my new wedding band/anniversary ring not 4 stones (as hubby pointed out that 4 is a very unlucky number in Chinese culture!).

I explored a few options with DK including a basic but classic trellis design but in the end, I have chosen this design:

Now my question is: do I go with traditional yellow gold which I find rich and romantic or white gold which I find clean, crisp and oh so shiny?

I love the look of both types of gold on my skin and I wear both colours of gold for my earrings, necklaces etc.

Here are a few pics of what white gold and yellow gold look like on my skin.

From top to bottom: 9k yellow gold, 18k yellow gold, 18 white gold (plated but worn quite often)

Please tell me what colour gold you prefer and why? I could easily do either but am finding it hard to make a final decision right now.

She who leaves a trail of glitter is never forgotten

I think the 18 karat yellow is the most flattering on you.

What color do you wear more? What do you reach for most often if you have both? @stardust is right that the 18k looks lovely on you but so does the white.

I love the 18K yellow on you.

One day, I'll be a crazy old lady weighed down by all my baubles and it will be glorious.

What about two-tone? 18k y/g band with PLT or w/g head?! This is a fave combo of mine. Wink

I have one PT ring and five 18k YG ones. so my obvious vote was 18k YG. haha. but in honesty, I think it looks best with your skintone. so luxe looking in person too. love it!

Agree with the ladies that both the 18K yellow and white are beautiful on you. I think two-tone w/ a yellow band and white head is a great idea! Gives you more flexibility for stacking, too.

They'd both be lovely!

I think it depends on what would give you most flexibility with other pieces.
