Ugly duckling diamonds
If someone wanted to look for "ugly duckling diamonds", where might one go?

I have to think I am not the only person who likes the wonky, the not-so-perfect, less than desirable stones that mainstream diamond shoppers would probably pass on. I personally LOVE the idea of "Charlie Brown Christmas tree" stones that might otherwise go unloved and that maybe can be found for a great deal.

And yes, I used to buy the ugliest Christmas tree I could find, for the same reason. Toofunny

But really, where might one go to potentially find these cast away treasures besides ebay, LT and DB. It seems so few dealers keep much in stock, and can't imagine they would tie up funds in stones people wouldn't want. Huh

RE: Ugly duckling diamonds
They had one I emailed about. It was a 2+ ct old miner that I thought was gorgeous and was an UDD. By the time they got back to me a couple days later, it was gone. Sad

I've read that IJ diamonds will find you anything you want - but agree with Jcent that OWD is a good choice!

RE: Ugly duckling diamonds
My Diamond Zone on ebay has some UDDs and pretty good prices both old cuts and new cuts. PS members have bought from them and they have a good return policy.

RE: Ugly duckling diamonds
Schubach's can as well, but I think OWD will have the largest selection since they are a wholesaler. And if it is extra wonky, they may be willing to negotiate price a bit more.

RE: Ugly duckling diamonds
I would think Erica or Grace could be on the lookout for you as well. We had a pretty nice champagne OEC a couple of months back, not sure if Alb sold it or not.
